Masala Lassi/Spicy Churned Curd

Hi guys today I made a yogurt drink called lassi in the morning. It’s made with yogurt, salt, sugar and some mild spices. You can add fruits as well if you like different flavours. It’s served cold and is very good for digestion. It prevents bloating and is very refreshing. Let’s begin.

Serves – 2

Ingredients

Thick curd/yogurt/dahi(full fat) – 2 cups

White sugar – 5 or 6 table spoon (depending on how sweet you like your drink)

Salt – 1/2 table spoon

Black salt – 1/2 table spoon

Chaat masala – 1/2 table spoon(optional)

Cumin(jeera) powder – 1/2 table spoon

Full cream milk – 1/2 cup

4 cubes of ice

Mint leaves to garnish

Method

In a blender put milk, sugar, salt and all other spices and ice and blend them until sugar is dissolved. Now add curd and again blend but not for long as you want it to remain thick.

Pour it in the glass, add some more ice if you like it more cold. Garnish with mint leaves and drink.

Tips

You can make simple Lassi by just adding salt, sugar and black salt.

You can fruit flavoured Lassi by adding banana or mango or any other fruit of your liking in the simple Lassi.

You can make salty Lassi by not adding sugar if you are avoiding sugar or you can make sweet Lassi by not adding salt and enjoy sweet simple Lassi.

You can add cardamom(Ilayichi) powder to the Simple Lassi (salt and sugar only) and that taste pretty good too.

So try and make this awesome refreshing drink which contains great benefits for your digestive system. It’s very healthy and very easy to make. There are so many different varieties and flavours you can try and they are all great.

Let me know if you like it.

Thanks and Goodnight

Lassi
